ENVIRONMENTAL WEEDS ACTION NETWORK (WA)
OPERATION
The Network has an executive committee that discusses and acts on EWAN business on behalf of its members. The Network is supported by contributions from its members and under the Constitution membership is for individuals, who have the right to vote, while discounted group membership is a subscription membership only.
The committee publishes "InfoNotes" twice yearly to maintain communication with members and other interested readers. InfoNotes is available either by mail or by electronic copy.
An electronic information service called the "EmailRound" is also maintained by the committee. This service distributes any weed information and news items from the wider National and International weed networks, that are thought to be of interest to members and are not published in InfoNotes.
The executive committee normally meets every second month. Public meetings are usually held on both the 3rd Saturday in February (an Annual General Meeting) and a General Meeting in July. Guest speakers present up-to-date information relevant to weeds.
